What a QR Interview Pass Is and How to Use It

Learn what a QR interview pass does, how to prepare it for check-in, what information it may reference, and what to do if it fails.

A QR interview pass is a scannable registration reference used to find your event, role, and arrival record at check-in. It is not a job offer and normally does not guarantee selection.

Before the event

Confirm that the pass came from the employer or authorized event platform. Check your name, role, venue, date, and arrival window. Save the message for offline access and note any separate reference number.

At check-in

Open the pass before reaching the scanner and increase screen brightness if needed. Present it only to authorized event staff. Do not post a personal pass publicly because another person may attempt to use its reference.

If scanning fails

Ask for the assisted lookup desk. Staff may verify the registration through a reference number or contact detail. A legitimate event should have a reasonable fallback for low battery, damaged screens, or connectivity issues.

Understand the data

The organizer should explain what information is collected, how check-in is used, and how long event records are retained. Contact the organizer if the pass contains incorrect information or you need your data corrected.
